You keep your hands back as you stride, turn through the ball, and finish balanced. Those are good pieces to build on! 🥎
The first thing I’d work on is keeping your body height more consistent. In this swing, you lower during your stride and then rise as the barrel approaches the ball. That extra movement can make solid contact harder to repeat.
Your cue: “Land soft, turn from there.”
Keep a comfortable bend in your legs when your front foot lands, then turn through the ball without deliberately standing up to hit it. Your front leg can straighten naturally—don’t force yourself to stay in a squat.
Next round:
• 5 slow practice reps: stride, pause, and check your balance.
• 5 tee swings at 70% effort, keeping your head at a fairly steady height.
• 5 normal swings with the same controlled landing.
Aim for firm line drives through the middle. This is one tee swing, so we’ll look for the same pattern over a few more reps before making bigger changes. Keep that confident finish!
You keep your feet set and return to a balanced standing position. You’re also reaching a similar depth on several reps—good foundations! 💪
Your main focus is controlling the change of direction at the bottom. Several reps move quickly from lowering to coming back up. Make that transition smoother so each rep stays consistent.
Your cue: “Brace, lower smoothly, push the floor.”
Before each rep, take a breath and tighten around your waist. Keep pressure through your heel, big-toe base, and little-toe base. As you stand, think about your hips and shoulders coming up together.
Next session, try 2 sets of 5 with a lighter weight your coach approves:
• Lower for 3 seconds.
• Change direction smoothly without relaxing at the bottom.
• Stand strong, then reset before the next rep.
